This week was hard.  My eating was not as good as it could have been and I didn’t workout at all.  My life just feels like it’s going in hyperspeed now and I just want to pause.  There is always a test, or a quiz, or a project, or a huge assignment to complete that I have to work on.  I take the SATs soon and I have to start studying for them and there is just so much pressure on me now that I feel like I’m drowning in a huge pool.  I’m trying to get it together but I have never been so underwater in my life, and I was a swimmer for most of my adolescence.  I will try to do the best I can with this challenge even with everything else though. Bikini Ready Body Challenge: Weigh In and Next Weeks Schedule

And I am done with 1st week of my Bikini Ready Body Challenge.  I have to say this week has been a learning experience.  I started off good and then started reverting to bad habits (starving) and then binging.  I decided that I want to keep my calories between 1200-1500 calories so I have a bit of wiggle room.  My workouts for next week are also shorter so I will be more likely to do them.  My main goal for the next few months is to gain healthier habits and get to a healthy weight.  As long as the scale is moving in the right direction I am happy.  Here was my workout schedule for this week: Continue reading

Long Time No Post…

I am so sorry that I haven’t posted in 2 months, that’s like 2 years in the blogging world.  In August I went on vacation and then I was doing summer homework and then in September school started and it has been insane ever since.  I’m taking 4 AP classes and am going crazy.  I’m stressed out and strung out half the time.  I also joined a couple of clubs (and quit cross country…not enough time) and decided that my friend and I are going to start a feminist/gender equality club at school which has also taken up some time.   Continue reading

Hot Bod 4 Week Challenge: Final Review

Yesterday was the final day of Hot Bod 4 Week Challenge and I have to say that I was not very good with it.  I didn’t follow all of the rules every day and know that if I did, I would have had better results.  But with this behind me, I plan on working hard and just trying to eat healthy.  As many of you know I promised a prize($15 itunes gift card for your workout playlist) to those who participated.  To win that prize, you must be following my blog, instagram, and twitter.  And you must comment on this post answering the questions: How did this challenge help you become healthier/fitter?  And what were your results?  At least 15 people must participate and add your twitter and instagram name in your response.  Good luck!

Summer’s just about here and I know I’m not ready for it.  But that’s okay because for the next 4 weeks both you and me will be busting our butts to get in awesome shape.  I have a list of guidelines that you can pick and choose which ones you want to follow. The ones I stress that you do are closer to the top of the list.  The challenge will run from June 2 to June 29.  I recommend not weighing yourself till the very end so that you will not be disappointed.  Base your results on how you feel and how your clothes fit for a better indication. The Art of Getting Back on Track

When I was seriously losing weight last year, I was very strict.  I would count every calorie that went into my mouth and would always say no to food that wasn’t in my meal plan.  As time went on, I got less and less strict to the point where I’m right back to where I started(not weight wise but diet wise).  So I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to learn to say no again and I’ve created a list of things to do(because as many of you have come to realize, I love lists). Half Marathon Training: 8 Weeks To Go!

This training week was not very good.  I only workouted/ran once this week and I’m disappointed in myself.  My diet has also not been on point in months and I really need to fix that.  I thought Beach Body Bootcamp would spark a drive in me, but it hasn’t.  I need to decide to be healthy and go through with it.  I know my body is getting doughier and I hate it.  I looked at pictures of me from October and I want to get back there.  This week I will be focusing on cleaning up my diet and exercising more.  I will also be trying out fuel during my long run which I am scared and excited about.  I thank those who gave me tips on a previous post because that’s helping me choose which type of fuel I want to try first.  Here’s my failure of this past week:

Welcome to the Beach Body Bootcamp Challenge.  This challenge is for anybody of any level and age.  It’s a heath/fitness/weight loss challenge.  This is an 12 week challenge in which our goal is to get a beach ready body.  It starts on March 18th and ends June 8th.  This is my second year doing this challenge and would love for it to be as successful this year as it was last year.
